Janak Deep Parajuli, born in Sindhupalchok, balaphi-7, has been involved in the film industry since 1995. He is active in the field of songwriting, journalism, television (small screen), and film production as a producer. He has also worked in Hollywood and Bollywood and has directed and produced over 100 Nepali, Hindi, Bhojpuri, and Punjabi music videos, more than 100 TV commercials (TVCs), over 5/7 television serials, and more than 10 national and international documentaries.

As a member of the Nepali Film Directors Society, Janak Deep Parajuli is currently serving as the secretary general and has been elected unopposed as the ninth president. He actively voices the concerns of the film industry, raises relevant issues, and is known as a social advocate and intellectual personality in the film sector.

Being an organization that represents directors and intellectual personalities, FDGN (Film Directors Guild Nepal) works for their rights, interests, recognition, respect, and capacity-building. It extends invitations to foreign filmmakers for film shooting and investment in Nepal, promotes tourism through films, preserves language, art, and culture, expands the market for Nepali films, and carries out archival programs for Nepali film directors and artists.
